Sidney Room

A beautiful ground floor reception room with original Victorian features overlooking the medieval shops and inns of Preston Street.

In Victorian times, the Sidney Room was Lady Alexander’s music room. She entertained Faversham’s high society in great style, inviting musicians from all over Britain to play here. The cornice-work in this room is particularly fine, with classical musical motifs. The room has now been restored under the direction of top interior designer, Sue Timney, and leading architect, Nigel Lee Evans of the award-winning Lee Evans Partnership and is decorated in classic historic colours.
